An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Polentzi in the 10th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evaristo Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo EAS's goalkeeper Evaristo Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Evaristo Velasco to make any attempt to save it. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabricio Rencio was the one to do the kick off. Evaristo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute of play forced Cachiyuyo EAS's goalkeeper Evaristo Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Niceto Oriche kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Evaristo Velasco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Tafalla's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Alberto Tafalla put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Evaristo Velasco. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaristo Velasco having to make a save. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Fabricio Rencio sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Fabricio Rencio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Fabricio Rencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachiyuyo EAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Rencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cachiyuyo EAS's Dito Sena was substituted for Fabricio Rencio. Evaristo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Evaristo Velasco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 94th match minute, Cachiyuyo EAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Selwyn Seangchjan to maneuver through the defense. If Dito Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
