The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Desfachatados F.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Narciso Pudes hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Pello was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Desfachatados F.C.'s zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Desfachatados F.C.'s goalkeeper Esteve Pello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Esteve Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. Desfachatados F.C.'s Esteve Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 56th minute of play. Esteve Pello was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Pello having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Cambranes in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteve Pello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho scored 0-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esteve Pello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 80 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Esteve Pello to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Desfachatados F.C..
