Honduras's attentive Luca Espinar managed to snatch the ball when Fabio Colantonio made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Attilio Mammarellas short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Lautaro Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wasyl Misiorowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Bosso having to interfere. If Wasyl Misiorowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Attilio Mammarella put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lautaro Navarro. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Attilio Mammarella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zurlo Team reached it. Fausto Silvestre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. In the 94th minute, Wasyl Misiorowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zurlo Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zurlo Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
