Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolai Bondum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Merengue FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jurgen Iwens was slow to take the kick. During this time LOBO 1908's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Gernando Matos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After having played for 19 minutes, Ernani Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LOBO 1908's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LOBO 1908's Jeremias Tande was substituted for Paulão Bezerra. 23 minutes in the game, Jeremias Tande fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mateo Llorienzo having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Darwin Núñez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adilson Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernani Montenegro was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani Montenegro in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Llorienzo saved Merengue FC from getting behind. After 54 minutes Merengue FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jeremias Tande who took care of the corner kick. After 56 played minutes Merengue FC got a freekick which was hit by Albino Dimas. LOBO 1908's Jonathan Britto was substituted for Jeremias Tande. LOBO 1908 made a substitution. The corner ended in Jurgen Iwens almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo did a great save. After 93 played minutes LOBO 1908 got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Ixidor. LOBO 1908's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
