Club Atletico Magaiba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Torsten Vallengren scored to the left of an out of position Felipe Elias, making the score, 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Jonatan Brion had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvio Llorienzo. Chacabuco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Brion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Bernal in the 23rd minute of play forced Chacabuco FC's goalkeeper Elvio Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Brion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Elvio Llorienzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Club Atletico Magaiba's Felipe Elias got control of the ball when Francisco Balesio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Chacabuco FC booed when Club Atletico Magaiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Brion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chacabuco FC's Francisco Balesio got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felipe Elias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jefferson Furlan in the 44th minute. Torsten Vallengren's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Magaiba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torsten Vallengren helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chacabuco FC's Torsten Vallengren got a free kick in the 46th minute. Feliberto Mark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Llorienzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

In the 55th minute, Torsten Vallengren made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Elias. Club Atletico Magaiba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Chacabuco FC made a substitution. Teobaldo Gartxot replaced Anier Bladi. Erubiel Lertxun kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Felipe Elias came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Chacabuco FC's Francisco Balesio. But to his dismay, Francisco Balesio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to Club Atletico Magaiba getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Emiliano Lizer hit a great ball. Francisco Balesio struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Felipe Elias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacabuco FC. When Chacabuco FC's Jefferson Furlan in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Magaiba's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Magaiba's Emiliano Lizer got a free kick in the 89th minute. Torsten Vallengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Chacabuco FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
