Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Johnni Kirkskov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 3rd minute of the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnni Kirkskov having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Lionel Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute Jose Eduino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnni Kirkskov having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Eduino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Johnni Kirkskov however easily saved by the left post. In the 29th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Eduino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnni Kirkskov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 46thth minute of the game Jose Eduino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Arias during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, BK Skjold's Genaro Procopio tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Mo Qi Zheng scored 1-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustín Saelices during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BK Skjold made a substitution. Casimiro Gines replaced Jaime Shantala. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jose Eduino in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Lionel Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Skjold fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Lionel Messias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Procopio got free with Julio Vera in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Johnni Kirkskov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Procopio in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Genaro Procopio was slow to take the kick. During this time BK Skjold's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Eduino in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Jose Eduino took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle went the supporters of BK Skjold were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ecuador side.
