After 46 minutes 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Farid Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Campbell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Ferit Yerlikaya was substituted for Ahmet Sedat Umut. In the 87th minute, Leonides Xacintu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. USA's Khalid Parry came free and shot a quick shot against goal 90 minutes in the game, fortunately Farid Mondragon had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Khalid Parry kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Farid Mondragon. That made the score 2-2 in the 94 minute of play.
