All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniil Barlas to make the kick off. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sakis Skouras charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sakis Skouras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thodoris Patsatzis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. 78 minutes into the match, PAOK Irakliou's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Thodoris Patsatzis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thodoris Patsatzis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of the match. Thodoris Patsatzis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thodoris Patsatzis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Daniel Zorita sped through PAOK Irakliou's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thodoris Patsatzis. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
