Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) CarecaNeles F.C.'s Arlindo Recife started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of CarecaNeles F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jacinto Filho made a huge save. After 29 played minutes CarecaNeles F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos Nogueira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Filho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 42nd minute of play forced CarecaNeles F.C.'s goalkeeper Jacinto Filho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Bramble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes CarecaNeles F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lenílson Souto. Lenílson Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jacinto Filho came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Isidoro Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Abelardo Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Filho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Carlos Nogueira during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CarecaNeles F.C.'s Antônio Carlos Nogueira got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A collision led to CarecaNeles F.C. getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Arlindo Recife hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Aaron Barrios put in a rough tackle. 2-2 came through a penalty shot after 80 played minutes, when CarecaNeles F.C.:s Victor Bramble calmly waited for Panama:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. In the 85th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Filho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to CarecaNeles F.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Edgar Vale hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacinto Filho skillfully saved the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Pombal. For all the effort they put into the match, the CarecaNeles F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Panama.
