Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Cristian Sancho scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Asier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugenio Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugenio Asier came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice moves Victoriano Tonete could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. In the 27th minute of the match CERPA got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Natalio Kusko ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 34 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Asier was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugenio Asier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Efrain Roldan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
CERPA's Su Chuan was substituted for Ignacio Viviano. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Efrain Roldan was the one to do the kick off. Efrain Roldan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugenio Asier. That made the score 0-5 in the 55 minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. CERPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Natalio Kusko in the 64th minute. The corner led CERPA's Victoriano Tonete to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, CERPA's Celestino Gau got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 70th match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Gau to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugenio Asier, 0-6. Efrain Roldan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Eugenio Asier made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to CERPA getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Wilhelm Volle hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Roldan in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when CERPA's Efrain Roldan fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. CERPA's Eugenio Asier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute of play. When Celestino Gau fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CERPA's protests and gave Celestino Gau a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes CERPA got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Gau. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in CERPA's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Asier came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Asier having to interfere. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CERPA throughout the match.
