The audience held their breath when Abraham Alguacil in the 7th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Loco De la Maza's left hand side. Loco De la Maza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 10th minute of the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loco De la Maza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Elvio Abalos got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Vialli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loco De la Maza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 30th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Abalos in the 35th minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loco De la Maza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidoro Sarmiento ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Damaso Inge hit a great ball. The supporters of Panama booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gianluca Vialli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Gao Yuan Zhen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Falckner FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gao Yuan Zhen hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gianluca Vialli to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaspar Baraquiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Cambeiro during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Falckner FC's Damaso Inge quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jose Carita, made in the 76th minute of the game. Loco De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Miralles in the 77th minute of play. Panama were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Falckner FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Falckner FC's Loco De la Maza did a great save. Loco De la Maza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jose Carita hit a great ball. In the 90th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Inge to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 92nd minute really tested Loco De la Maza's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Elvio Abalos took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.
