Matthew Garrido hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute SalentoUnited were awarded a corner. Fidel Ciprella went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 30th minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Octavius Gräf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavius Gräf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute, Frasier Huber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 39th minute Octavius Gräf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ergincan Suerkan hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Urbano Hotz might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urbano Hotz ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SalentoUnited's Urbano Hotz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 0-7 after 91 minutes of play. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Brandenberg having to interfere. Octavius Gräf charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavius Gräf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Panama booed when SalentoUnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavius Gräf didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SalentoUnited eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
