Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remigio Joanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Montenegro's late challenge caught a Falckner FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Urbez in the 12th minute of the match. Falckner FC's Remigio Joanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. Remigio Joanes came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Remigio Joanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remigio Joanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigio Joanes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Jonas Urbezs short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Falckner FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonas Urbez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Mazuste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Falckner FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 64 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Falckner FC's Remigio Joanes. Remigio Joanes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Joanes. Remigio Joanes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Joanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Joanes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th of the match, Luis Andino tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Remigio Joanes got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 79th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Falckner FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Joanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Felix Montenegro sped through Falckner FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Remigio Joanes. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Falckner FC throughout the match.
