Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torcato Boaventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ferenc van Nistelrooij in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sebastian Villa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Ferenc van Nistelrooij could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Lautaro Navarro however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Honduras's Christian Sancho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The throw-in from Filipe Pimenta in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. After 30 played minutes S.João de Areias got a freekick which was hit by Normando Lages. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Moises Tafalla got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yusuf Ziya Sertaç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferenc van Nistelrooij stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. S.João de Areias's Yusuf Ziya Sertaç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save S.João de Areias from getting a goal against them. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 55th minute of the match. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S.João de Areias! In the 62nd minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Yusuf Ziya Sertaç. S.João de Areias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 73 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Fatih Tekke came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.João de Areias's Yusuf Ziya Sertaç was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, S.João de Areias's Graciano Portugal got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 83 in the game by Edmundo Espiga from a close distance when the talented Yusuf Ziya Sertaç managed to make a qualified save. S.João de Areias's players were relieved. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifacio Aznar went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Honduras booed when S.João de Areias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Normando Lages didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yusuf Ziya Sertaç. S.João de Areias's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Bonifacio Aznar managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.João de Areias's supporters rose to their feet, but Bonifacio Aznar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The S.João de Areias supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Honduras's performance. The match ended with a win for Honduras.
