An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 5th minute of play forced Turko's goalkeeper Hipolito Kaxen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Turko's Hernan Firman got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Kaxen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 14th minute. Aktan Özker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Turko's Hipolito Kaxen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Turko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Firman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Firman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Varol Mehdi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Joshua Secada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Hipolito Kaxen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 59th minute of the match. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. If Aktan Özker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Hipolito Kaxen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. An unexpectedly hard shot by İsmail Durul in the 73rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hipolito Kaxen, 1-3. 79 minutes into the match, Turko's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Hipolito Kaxen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hipolito Kaxen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 82 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Turko booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes in the game, Patricio Costa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hipolito Kaxen having to interfere. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
