SA Samsunspor 2011's Alex Remiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 9th minute of play. Alex Remiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that SA Samsunspor 2011's Alex Remiro managed to reach the ball for a save. Alex Remiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Remiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Alex Remiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 90th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SA Samsunspor 2011's Alex Remiro did a great save.
