The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arthur Bufi was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Gláuber Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwidon Cwojdak kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match, Sebastian Villa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arthur Bufi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Valeriu Toacsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Bufi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Honduras's performance. The match ended with a win for Honduras.
