Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Barrenta SC's Patric Isaksson managed to reach the ball for a save. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felix Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Fellipe Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luz Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patric Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patric Isaksson. The goal made the score 1-2. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Leite came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. Patric Isaksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Barrenta SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felix Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Max Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 88th minute of the match. Patric Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patric Isaksson quite easily take care of the ball.
