Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Milio came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Conrado Milio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Olle Skott tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrado Milio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Joaquin George notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Conrado Milio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's Olle Skott nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Milio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin George came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. In the 33rd minute Maximo Ishmael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 37th minute of play forced DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's goalkeeper Conrado Milio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Milio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin George fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquin George to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Joaquin George's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Conrado Milio in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Maximo Ishmael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's Conrado Milio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of play. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonardo Abajas ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 67th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Conrado Milio. DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DyJ Campeón Sudamericana made a substitution. Arturo Kelemen replaced Joaquin George. Arturo Kelemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's Abel Berdaitz was substituted for Olle Skott. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Kelemen in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonardo Abajas was slow to take the kick. During this time DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's players had a chance to rest. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DyJ Campeón Sudamericana throughout the match.
