Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonard Chirculescu started the match with the kick off. Leonard Chirculescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Chirculescu ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonard Chirculescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Olariu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 21st minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Chirculescu scored 3-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgil Olariu was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Vasile Enciulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tudor Manolescu charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tudor Manolescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Manolescu to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Unai Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paralia Athens's supporters rose to their feet, but Unai Herrera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonard Chirculescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Chirculescu in the 63rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonard Chirculescu in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. The Paralia Athens fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Paralia Athens's Leonard Chirculescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paralia Athens's Agostinho Moura managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Efrain Moruga in the 75 minute of the game. In the 76th minute, Leonard Chirculescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paralia Athens fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Olariu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgil Olariu. Paralia Athens's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Puig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Unai Herrera took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Chirculescu in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
