Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 3 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 5th minute, Murilo Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The mar-azul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Adelino Palmeira hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. mar-azul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 11 minutes mar-azul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Estevão Lemos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Estevão Lemos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. With an all-out effort, mar-azul's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Murilo Fernandes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 17th match minute, mar-azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of mar-azul booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estevão Lemos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. Genaro Gaitano hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Estevão Lemos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Ahmet Turan Ayberk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murilo Fernandes made a kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Fernandes in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Fernandes came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th match minute, mar-azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Álvares to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Manuel Álvares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. mar-azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 61st match minute, mar-azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Álvares to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Estevão Lemos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Estevão Lemos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Estevão Lemos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Estevão Lemos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Estevão Lemos in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 minutes of play, mar-azul's Murilo Fernandes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Fernandes in the 84th minute of the match. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Murilo Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. When Murilo Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the mar-azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murilo Fernandes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Pacheco in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
