In the 12th minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bartosz Trzenzalski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cassius Byrne in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartosz Trzenzalski saved Ema City from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 18th minute of play forced Ema City's goalkeeper Bartosz Trzenzalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Cassius Byrne notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ema City's Bartosz Trzenzalski. Bartosz Trzenzalski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 39 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carneiro. Bartosz Trzenzalski came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Monty Rogers. But to his dismay, Monty Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ema City's Bartosz Trzenzalski got control of the ball when Monty Rogers tried to sneak it across the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, José Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The supporters of USA booed when Ema City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartosz Trzenzalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Trzenzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartosz Trzenzalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ema City made a substitution. Witold Rybak replaced Renaut Vuerinckx. Monty Rogers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Bartosz Trzenzalski made a huge save. Zach Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bartosz Trzenzalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, José Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ema City's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jenson Smith in the 83rd minute. Selçuk Özgebay's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
