Enrique Lekubegi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Enrique Lekubegi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rickard Lundgren's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Kingpins's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stiff Rambo in the 13th minute. A nice corner shot did that Stiff Rambo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enrique Lekubegi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nicanor Gaufred charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicanor Gaufred the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kingpins's Elliot Wallin was substituted for Armin Trabucco. In the 17th minute, Nicanor Gaufred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rickard Lundgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Lekubegi having to make a save. Rickard Lundgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rickard Lundgren got free with Enrique Lekubegi in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guo Ke Peng in the 30th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rickard Lundgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enrique Lekubegi. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Rickard Lundgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Lekubegi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Rickard Lundgren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Enrique Lekubegi. The goal made the score 3-0. Guo Ke Peng was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicanor Gaufred to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Rickard Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute Kingpins were awarded a corner. Stiff Rambo went to the cornerflag to take it. 57 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Lundgren came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kingpins getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Henning Strömqvist hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Guo Ke Peng notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi. Enrique Lekubegi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rickard Lundgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Lekubegi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Oscar Eguen hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Lundgren in the 68th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Guo Ke Peng notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi. Enrique Lekubegi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kingpins made a substitution. Bo Kruuse replaced Rickard Lundgren. Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 89 minutes into the game, Bo Kruuse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Enrique Lekubegi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes into the match, Kingpins's Roger Västerstrand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Lekubegi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Palermo booed when Kingpins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ábel Pasqualini didn't get a good kick on the ball.

There was no doubt that Kingpins were the better team. Kingpins's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
