Bret Caudill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 9 played minutes S.D. Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Egemen Korkmaz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Dorronsoro in the 12th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Bret Caudill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Bret Caudill throw himself and got hold of the ball when Hernan Dorronsoro in the 12thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Marta Poom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Bravo in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara defense, Charlie Bravo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marta Poom. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marta Poom should have stopped the shot. After 22 minutes Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brent Cowan who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Brent Cowan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marta Poom quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. S.D. Bajen's Bret Caudill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save S.D. Bajen from getting a goal against them. Hernan Dorronsoro in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bret Caudill, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marta Poom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Bravo in the 27th minute of the match. Bret Caudill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Dorronsoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Bravo in the 29th minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Marta Poom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Marta Poom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Bravo in the 30th minute of play. Brent Cowan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charlie Bravo made a kick off. A collision led to S.D. Bajen getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Tony Kirby hit a great ball. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara made a substitution. Nicolao Nogal replaced Batista Diana. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Cristiano De La Iglesia was substituted for Angelino Lore. Tony Kirby hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Hernan Dorronsoro came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Dorronsoro couldn't finish the play. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Nicolao Nogal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marta Poom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Bravo in the 75th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when Egemen Korkmaz put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in S.D. Bajen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in S.D. Bajen's zone, Cristiano De La Iglesia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bret Caudill came out of the goal and Cristiano De La Iglesia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.D. Bajen's Bret Caudill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolao Nogal in the 84th minute of play. Darius Seals hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Dorronsoro came free, but Bret Caudill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolao Nogal in the 89th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Bret Caudill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Nicolao Nogal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Cristiano De La Iglesia put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bret Caudill.
The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans cheered their team off the field, for while S.D. Bajen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
