The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Eddy Mendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Chapui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shao Hui Li in the 4th minute of the match. The Underdogs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Brito Montemayor in the 5th minute. A nice corner shot did that Brito Montemayor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ian Chapui quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gerard van den Eede came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ian Chapui could save by the left post. In the 13th minute, Ervin DeJesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shao Hui Li struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ian Chapui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Underdogs. In the 25th minute, Genaro Cassidy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racing Miami Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Ian Chapui proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Miami Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Daalmeyer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Ian Chapui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Peppinck. Ian Chapui made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Richard Peppinck sent off a good shot on target. Thijs Brugmans kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Brito Montemayor's late challenge caught a Racing Miami Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brito Montemayor helped the player get up and apologised. The The Underdogs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Racing Miami Futbol Club were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerard van den Eede to make the kick off. Ian Chapui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shao Hui Li in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Cassidy in the 53rd minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Daalmeyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nico Boschker kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Hoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Shao Hui Li shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Chapui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Daalmeyer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Honorato Guter made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Racing Miami Futbol Club's Glen Hoff. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Genaro Parr quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Richard Peppinck, made in the 83rd minute of the game. Jean-Paul Daalmeyer made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Merrill Banks sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Glen Hoff got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Lyle Macias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merrill Banks blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean-Paul Daalmeyer having to make a save. In the 92nd minute Merrill Banks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Paul Daalmeyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lyle Macias in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Paul Daalmeyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The Racing Miami Futbol Club players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
