Noel Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Hebel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. AFK Petržalka's Alek Justus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sune Rudberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nikola Krstović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Laurin came free, but Tim Hebel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tim Hebel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s zone, Nino Marcelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sune Rudberg came out of the goal and Nino Marcelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Adriano Schmidt was substituted for Cristian Paraense. Sune Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikola Krstović, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Nikola Krstović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sune Rudberg. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikola Krstović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. AFK Petržalka's Tim Hebel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Duarte in the 78th minute of play. Sune Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikola Krstović, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Sune Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alek Justus in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deng Xuan Sha to maneuver through the defense.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFK Petržalka had won after a very even match.
