Colombia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Robby Woody 3 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robby Woody. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Alberto Zañartu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 16th minute Francisco Alberto Zañartu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match, Francisco Alberto Zañartu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Manzanares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 24th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. La Academia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Colombia's Axel Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Iwan Grocholski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Alberto Zañartu went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwan Grocholski was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 37th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 41st minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Francisco Alberto Zañartu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 53rd minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Robby Woody came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Francisco Alberto Zañartu notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Alberto Zañartu in the 66th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes La Academia got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Mazuste. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. A collision led to La Academia getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Aaron Mazuste hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Abram Secada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iwan Grocholski. The goal made the score 4-1. Ignacio Mastache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Iwan Grocholski made a huge save. In the 81st minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Kevin Mastache went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Orlando Tafalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iwan Grocholski quite easily take care of the ball. Iwan Grocholski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 84th minute. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Academia! The goalkeeper, Iwan Grocholski, was totally fooled by Colombia's Kevin Mastache, who 92 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 95th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for La Academia.
