If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucky Star's Kamal Habib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Lucky Star booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Kamal Habib didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 33rd match minute, Lucky Star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Saur to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kamal Habib. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th match minute, Lucky Star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Darusman to maneuver through the defense. Kamal Habib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kamal Habib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Kamal Habib. Lucky Star's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lucky Star's Bagong Tomagola was substituted for Pance Tarmadi. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Kamal Habib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kamal Habib. The goal made the score 0-5. 62 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Kamal Habib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cucu Milo in the 67th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamal Habib breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kamal Habib made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. During the 72nd minute of the match Dino Saur completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dino Saur a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Kamal Habib made a huge save. Ading Restiana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute Sondang Gultom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucky Star's Kamal Habib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Lucky Star from getting a goal against them. After 84 minutes Lucky Star's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kamal Habib came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 85th minute. In the 90th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kamal Habib was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Uum Bel came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Lucky Star fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uum Bel couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Kamal Habib didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador played a much better game than Lucky Star and deserved their victory. The Lucky Star players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
