The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Lucca Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monumento Sports fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Lucca Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Elias Olenberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Chaman Do Bonde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Monumento Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Olenberg to maneuver through the defense. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chaman Do Bonde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chaman Do Bonde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucca Gol. Chaman Do Bonde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucca Gol in the 39th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chaman Do Bonde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Lucca Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucca Gol in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Monumento Sports's Chaman Do Bonde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Monumento Sports from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davi Vianna's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Davi Vianna sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Monumento Sports's Chaman Do Bonde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Monumento Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Monumento Sports's Elias Olenberg got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Chaman Do Bonde. Monumento Sports's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 69 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chaman Do Bonde. Monumento Sports's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Monumento Sports made a substitution. Zé Pedro Coelho replaced Tombolo Wa Kadima De Las Cuevas. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chaman Do Bonde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chaman Do Bonde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play. Chaman Do Bonde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Chaman Do Bonde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita.
