The audience was convinced that Nemesio Ignatius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Agustin Luix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. In the 15th minute Severiano Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Ignatius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Santino Seco got a free kick in the 26th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Natanael in the 27th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Ugutz in the 29th minute. In the 33rd match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Luix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Manzanares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Ugutz in the 39th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustin Luix got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Nemesio Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustin Luix. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Agustin Luix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Agustin Luix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd match minute, Lugano 1 y 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renzo Ackermans to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Colombia booed when Lugano 1 y 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Pavia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Colombia's Axel Montenegro tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 62 minutes of play, Lugano 1 y 2's Severiano Ugutz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute, Ignacio Mastache fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Felipe Odol, passed just outside the right post. After 72 played minutes Lugano 1 y 2 got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Valente. Felipe Odol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute of the match, Ignacio Mastache tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Felipe Odol saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Mastache in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Odol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Lugano 1 y 2's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kevin Mastache took the corner. The corner ended in Pascual Carballar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lugano 1 y 2's Felipe Odol did a great save. Agustin Luix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abram Secada might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felipe Odol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Secada ran back to his position shaking his head. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Felipe Odol made a huge save. After some careless play in the Lugano 1 y 2 defense, Abram Secada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Odol. The Lugano 1 y 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Odol should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Mastache in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felipe Odol saved Lugano 1 y 2 from getting behind. Agustin Luix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
