Rui Donato made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edgar Trigo immediately put the ball in play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Rui Donato made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. After some careless play in the Nada Pontual F.C defense, Eliseo Mina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sam Marcos. The Nada Pontual F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sam Marcos should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sam Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 39th minute of play forced Nada Pontual F.C's goalkeeper Sam Marcos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nada Pontual F.C's Sam Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play. Sam Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nada Pontual F.C's Macit Buyrukalp was substituted for Hortêncio Vander. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Macit Buyrukalp was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 53rd minute of play forced Nada Pontual F.C's goalkeeper Sam Marcos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sam Marcos. Julian Murillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macit Buyrukalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernabe Gomez was slow to take the kick. During this time Nada Pontual F.C's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Nada Pontual F.C's corner Bernabe Gomez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. Sam Marcos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Nada Pontual F.C's goalkeeper Sam Marcos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. The throw-in from Rui Donato in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Sam Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 74th minute of play. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Sam Marcos made a huge save. Edgar Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 84th minute of play forced Nada Pontual F.C's goalkeeper Sam Marcos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Nada Pontual F.C getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Macit Buyrukalp hit a great ball. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Macit Buyrukalp kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Antonio Tenorio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Sam Marcos made a huge save. In the 94th minute Cauã Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bernabe Gomez fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nada Pontual F.C's protests and gave Bernabe Gomez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Peru booed when Nada Pontual F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Gomez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
