Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Palos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Estudiantes de rio IV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Emilio Palos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced Estudiantes de rio IV's goalkeeper Emilio Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Chan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Dalmacio Musko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dalmacio Musko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmacio Musko in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilio Palos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Estudiantes de rio IV's Emilio Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Emilio Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Emilio Palos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 35th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Estudiantes de rio IV's Segundo Gaxan. 38 minutes into the game, Segundo Gaxan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes de rio IV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 39th minute, Segundo Gaxan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Palos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Gaxan in the 45th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Estudiantes de rio IV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manuel Quiroga in the 46th minute. The corner ended in Manuel Quiroga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. The Estudiantes de rio IV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalmacio Musko to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Estudiantes de rio IV's Ildefonso Cuartio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dalmacio Musko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Emilio Palos made a huge save. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Emilio Palos made a huge save. Dalmacio Musko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de rio IV's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Palos came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Emilio Palos made a huge save. Estudiantes de rio IV's Dalmacio Musko got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Emilio Palos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dalmacio Musko took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emilio Palos. The goal made the score 2-2. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
