Pavlos Konstantakakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kazimierz Chrobak's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Borys Karaszkiewicz. Emilio Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Balla, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wessel Bos in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Dinu Bocu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emilio Shepherd. Emilio Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Balla in the 30th minute of the match. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinu Bocu was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in KN ZGORZELEC's zone, Brandon Rick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Shepherd came out of the goal and Brandon Rick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wessel Bos in the 61st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Hamburg Fighters's corner Leandros Hölsch fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Shepherd quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandros Hölsch in the 67th minute of play forced KN ZGORZELEC's goalkeeper Emilio Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Wessel Bos made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Borys Karaszkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pavlos Konstantakakis was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hamburg Fighters reached it. Emilio Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Bocu in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute Kazimierz Chrobak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led KN ZGORZELEC's Mariusz Kaleta to fire away a dangerous shot which Pavlos Konstantakakis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Chrobak came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of Hamburg Fighters's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hamburg Fighters may have spent more time on the ball, but KN ZGORZELEC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
