Drini Kapaj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Drini Kapaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play forced Mali i Thatë FC's goalkeeper Drini Kapaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Mali i Thatë FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drini Kapaj having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Mali i Thatë FC got a freekick which was hit by Sefedin Gjyle. With a little luck, Mali i Thatë FC's Drini Kapaj got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Drini Kapaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
