When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Admon in the 63rd minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 minutes of play RIBEIRÃO FC's Isac Melentie was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 96th match minute, RIBEIRÃO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Melentie to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. RIBEIRÃO FC fully deserved thier win.
