Vincent Delarue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alain Terim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Alain Terim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Vincent Delarue recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Green Madness's Alain Terim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Vincent Delarue put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 26 minutes into the match, Green Madness's Vincent Delarue sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vincent Delarue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vincent Delarue 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vincent Delarue's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Alain Terim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Green Madness's Vincent Delarue dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 47 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Green Madness's Fola Maître quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 47th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After 56th play minutes Vincent Delarue shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. After 64 played minutes Green Madness got a freekick which was hit by Fola Maître. In the 68th minute Vincent Delarue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vincent Delarue in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Dilan Bobet in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Green Madness's Vincent Delarue. But to his dismay, Vincent Delarue quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vincent Delarue's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Vincent Delarue's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. Green Madness's Vincent Delarue got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Delarue in the 97th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Green Madness's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
