Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Penha in the 4th minute of play. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Kazimierz Rosen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. O MOTIVO ⚽'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of O MOTIVO ⚽:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Yan Penha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when O MOTIVO ⚽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yan Penha to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Bertoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Erivaldo Hermes made a huge save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Hermes in the 60th minute of play. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Erivaldo Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save O MOTIVO ⚽ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Penha in the 66th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Andrew Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Daniel Bertoni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. O MOTIVO ⚽ made a substitution. Paulão Batista replaced Kazimierz Rosen. In the 82nd of the match, Patricio Costa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Erivaldo Hermes got in the way and made a wonderful save. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Bertoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Bertoni came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the O MOTIVO ⚽ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
