The referee ignored Oiteiras's protests and gave Humberto Quinito a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when Oiteiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. 彭钢昂 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Renatinho Loyola threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 17 minutes into the game, Silas Magalhães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luca Espinar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 彭钢昂 having to interfere. Amílton Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 29th play minutes Edmundo Espiga shot 1-2, a short shot which went by 彭钢昂 and just under the crossbar into goal. Adilson Reis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 38th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 彭钢昂 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes Oiteiras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick. The Oiteiras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Honduras were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adilson Reis to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Adilson Reis came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. 彭钢昂 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 57th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Adilson Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Oiteiras's Agnaldo Pontes was substituted for Amílton Pereira. Honduras's attentive Esteban Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Renatinho Loyola made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. Acácio Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The throw-in from Acácio Gaspar in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 78th minute. 彭钢昂 was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sebastian Villa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 80 minute of play. Oiteiras's Adilson Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson Reis in the 83rd minute of the match. Oiteiras's 彭钢昂 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Oiteiras's Narciso Tinoco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narciso Tinoco's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Oiteiras succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Honduras had controlled the match.
