Marcus-Vinícius Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Jedaiah Sakhai dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego, 1-0. Aki Pego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Marcus-Vinícius Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th match minute, Magen David was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Näfver to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Jedaiah Sakhai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giora Hamburg was slow to take the kick. During this time Magen David's players had a chance to rest. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 48th minute of play forced Magen David's goalkeeper Aki Pego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jedaiah Sakhai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
