Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Natalio Petrigai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Natalio Petrigai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natalio Petrigai was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cristian Sancho scored 0-3 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Petrigai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Visser's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Natalio Petrigai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Ambrosio Francis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Visser was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Silvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Luis Andino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Natalio Petrigai. That made the score 0-4 after 51 minutes of play. 56 minutes into the game, Luis Andino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Natalio Petrigai. Luis Andino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Petrigai having to interfere. Cristian Sancho scored 0-6 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Petrigai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Natalio Petrigai made a huge save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Petrigai made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Petrigai having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Visser was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Oinaz to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho pulled a muscle in his leg after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Oinaz during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Cristian Sancho. In the 89th match minute, Visser was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Oinaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natalio Petrigai skillfully saved the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Claris came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
