Diguinho Carioca came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clayton Pedron hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clayton Pedron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diguinho Carioca having to interfere. Charles Capixaba hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clayton Pedron to make the kick off. Diguinho Carioca made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Diguinho Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in C o n f i a n ç a - SE's zone, Luca Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Carioca came out of the goal and Luca Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diguinho Carioca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Diguinho Carioca threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Diguinho Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 73rd minute of play. Diguinho Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 76th minute of the match. Diguinho Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
