An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 4th minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fırat Aytekin having to interfere. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Johannes Kruuse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Kruuse came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Baiano to maneuver through the defense. Fırat Aytekin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. The throw-in from Valdecir Carlos in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 马皓延 kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fırat Aytekin. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Johannes Kruuse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. 64 minutes into the game, Johannes Kruuse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fırat Aytekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 72nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fırat Aytekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johannes Kruuse in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Axel Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Fırat Aytekin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Zuberoa Ezquerra was substituted for Nildo Rosa. S.C. Corinthians Paulista made a substitution. Evandro Trancoso replaced Johannes Kruuse. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's attentive Júnior Baiano managed to snatch the ball when Luis Cazalla made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Fırat Aytekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 91st minute. In the 95th match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehdi Brasselet to maneuver through the defense. Fırat Aytekin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Mastache went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score.
