An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Cunha in the 39th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gernando Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pindamonhangaba's Gernando Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gernando Guerra quite easily take care of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lorenzo Osasun made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Osasun in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute Luís Gustavo Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pindamonhangaba's Carlinhos Barreto got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Guerra having to interfere. With a little luck, A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Gernando Guerra got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Lorenzo Osasun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.F. Pindamonhangaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Manfredo Pinho's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfredo Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Agustín Saelices. A collision led to A.F. Pindamonhangaba getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Manfredo Pinho hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, A.F. Pindamonhangaba's Juninho Paiva got a free kick in the 79th minute. Camilo Gisbert made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Daniel Zorita. Gernando Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, A.F. Pindamonhangaba's goalkeeper Gernando Guerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Gernando Guerra made a huge save. Manfredo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
