The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cheng Hao Wei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 7th minute of the match. Aniol Peña could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, JEMBer UTara's Sun Yi Yu got a free kick in the 15th minute. Cheng Hao Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, JEMBer UTara's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cheng Hao Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aniol Peña who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Rolando Noboa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 25 minutes into the game, Aniol Peña lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Rolando Noboa. JEMBer UTara were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cai Jun Wei took the corner. The corner led JEMBer UTara's Cai Jun Wei to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julian Murillo scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cheng Hao Wei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 39 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Fraga. Cheng Hao Wei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes JEMBer UTara got a freekick which was hit by Aniol Peña. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafet Nesip to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Rafet Nesip left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JEMBer UTara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a little luck, JEMBer UTara's Cheng Hao Wei got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafet Nesip in the 73rd minute of the match. Cheng Hao Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cai Jun Wei was slow to take the kick. During this time JEMBer UTara's players had a chance to rest. JEMBer UTara's Cai Jun Wei was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rafael Gallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Cheng Hao Wei made a huge save.
