In the 15th minute Lou Cromefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tibo Cromefeldt in the 24th minute. Matias Colebrants showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Rossem's Matias Colebrants was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ecuador's Agustín Saelices fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 33 minutes of play, Fc Rossem's Lou Cromefeldt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play forced Fc Rossem's goalkeeper Matias Colebrants to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Fc Rossem's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Matias Colebrants reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Colebrants showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Matias Colebrants was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Matias Colebrants made a huge save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fc Rossem's Matias Colebrants played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute of play. Tibo Cromefeldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play forced Fc Rossem's goalkeeper Matias Colebrants to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Colebrants was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-3. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Colebrants having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibo Cromefeldt in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fc Rossem's Evert Lanphant got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matias Colebrants saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 75th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Fc Rossem's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Matias Colebrants was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibo Cromefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Fc Rossem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Lanphant didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fc Rossem.
