Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Cordairo Segura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cordairo Segura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play forced Carqueja's goalkeeper Cordairo Segura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Carqueja were awarded a corner. Mario Vielva went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Carqueja's corner Mario Vielva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. When Cristian Sancho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 19 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cordairo Segura was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Oliverio Cavallosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Carqueja's Oliverio Cavallosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oliverio Cavallosa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 23 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Vielva, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Elizardo Massana sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Cordairo Segura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliverio Cavallosa went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cordairo Segura saved Carqueja from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Carqueja's Franco Garro got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 52nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cordairo Segura but with some difficulty. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Cordairo Segura made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliverio Cavallosa in the 59th minute of play. Carqueja's Oliverio Cavallosa got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goalkeeper Cordairo Segura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Carqueja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Lucena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 played minutes Carqueja got a freekick which was hit by Cortez Olalde. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Cordairo Segura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cordairo Segura could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordairo Segura having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Carqueja's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Carqueja's Roderigo Villamizar was substituted for Franco Garro. After a rather tough play, Carqueja's Roderigo Villamizar got a free kick in the 87th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Zotillo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Elizardo Massana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Carqueja had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
