Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Triunvirato FC's Victorio Gora started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cecilio Sabino during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cecilio Sabino hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Gora in the 6th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. When Triunvirato FC's Victorio Gora in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 10th minute Triunvirato FC were awarded a corner. Adolfo Mendez went to the cornerflag to take it. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. 17 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Gora came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Rios in the 26th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Mendez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes in the game, Victorio Gora fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. During the 33rd minute of the match Tomas Illescas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Triunvirato FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Eulalio Gil took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Eulalio Gil tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Patricio Costa made the kick off in the second half. Victorio Gora recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Victorio Gora who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Triunvirato FC's Uriel Rios. But to his dismay, Uriel Rios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cecilio Sabino in the 76 minute of the game. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Mendez in the 78th minute of play. Triunvirato FC's Cecilio Sabino got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Cecilio Sabino off the ground. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Triunvirato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Sabino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Secada in the 82nd minute of play forced Triunvirato FC's goalkeeper Artemio Lamberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball.
