Tony Uchiha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Fraga to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristo Rey made a kick off. R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Julian Murillo 51 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. Danilo Illart made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Peru's attentive Anthony Alvarado managed to snatch the ball when Gerardo Chabier made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Julian Murillo took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Tony Uchiha to make any attempt to save it. Efraim Gilabert tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Rolando Noboa. R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
