Maritek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felice Tacco in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Andrea Mariani almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. After a rather tough play, Maritek FC's Amola Bamba got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio O'Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferruccio Zarillo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dante Lacasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélio O'Connell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Ferruccio Zarillo came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Ferruccio Zarillo scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 1-1. Hélio O'Connell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Ettore Santo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélio O'Connell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Andrea Mariani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lorenzo Cazalla tried in the game's 44th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Dante Lacasa. An annoying self made goal, 2-1. Eli Mariani hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gaona to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute Ettore Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Hélio O'Connell made a huge save. With a little luck, Maritek FC's Hélio O'Connell got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maritek FC made a substitution. Federico Ondino replaced Felice Tacco. Hélio O'Connell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goalkeeper Hélio O'Connell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Maritek FC's Hélio O'Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 89th minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hélio O'Connell in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Maritek FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
