After having played for 6 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Dragicevic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 10th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inter de Chillán's Basilio Dragicevic did a great save. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basilio Dragicevic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 20 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Dragicevic was left in no man's land by his defense there! Basilio Dragicevic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Dragicevic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Dragicevic came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 34th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Basilio Dragicevic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Dragicevic having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Dragicevic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Lacunza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Basilio Dragicevic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Inter de Chillán's Basilio Dragicevic. Basilio Dragicevic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The crowd rose to their feet as Lautaro Mancebo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Basilio Dragicevic. That made the score 0-5 in the 53 minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Badiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Lautaro Mancebo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alberto Tafalla in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Basilio Dragicevic, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Dragicevic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Mexico's Luca Zorita managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Francisco Lacunza in the 67 minute of the game. Inter de Chillán's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Alberto Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Basilio Dragicevic, making the score, 0-7. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Facundo Cadaval had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basilio Dragicevic. Inter de Chillán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Facundo Cadaval was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Basilio Dragicevic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basilio Dragicevic. Basilio Dragicevic yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. Basilio Dragicevic was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 87 minute of play. Basilio Dragicevic made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Cristián Duguid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basilio Dragicevic saved Inter de Chillán from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 97th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Basilio Dragicevic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
